2 to 3 Weeks Prior to the Surgery
You will have to make some preparations a few weeks before the scheduled date if you want to heal quickly and get the best long-term results.
You must avoid alcoholic drinks, tobacco and nicotine products, coffee and energy drinks, and creatine, or limit these substances as much as possible. Other things you should avoid taking are any prescription medication that acts as an anticoagulant, drugs like Warfarin and Aspirin, as well as foods known for their blood-thinning properties like Asian ginseng, ginger, and garlic.
Limit your amount of physical activity, avoid exercise for 48 hours prior to surgery, and get a good night’s sleep the night before.
